ALMS OFFERING ON COMMUNION SUNDAYS

Every first Sunday of the month, Communion Sunday, we collect a special Alms Offering. All checks designated "Alms Offering" or given in red envelopes (found in the pews) will go to the Deacon's Fund to help those in our congregation and community who need it. There will also be a new Alms Box, created by our own Dick Stowe, in the Narthex where you can drop your alms offerings after the church service. The history of taking up alms for the poor in association with Communion has a long history in the Reformed Church.

KNIT WITS

Whether you are just learning to knit, would like to learn how to knit, or are a proficient knitter, we welcome you to our knitters group that meets the second Tuesday of every month at 10:30am in the 12 Step Classroom at Covenant Presbyterian Church. We are currently making hats, scarves etc. for newborn babies and the homeless in Jackson. Anyone is welcome to join us!
