Adult Sunday School
Study of I Samuel: This fall, Dr. Bill Richardson, a professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Reformed Theological Seminary, will lead a special Sunday School study. In I Samuel, God is writing us stories about people and families and following God in hard, confusing times. (The very first story is about family conflict and a weeping woman, Samuel's mother.) We are blessed to have Dr. Richardson lead the journey into the rich and relevant treasures found in this part of God's Word which you will find as engaging as they are encouraging.

Gospel Project Class: This class is based on the Christ-centered curriculum known as the Gospel Project. Based on the simple proposition that the Bible is not a collection of stories but rather a single story of God's redemptive plan, the Gospel Project provides comprehensive and integrated coverage of the full Christian story. The class will be coordinated by Alex Guidry with discussions led by Alex and others, including Mike McNames. For those interested in reinforcing and re-energizing their understand of Christianity from a Reformed perspective, this is a great opportunity.

Christian Foundations Class: Begun several years ago as a class for young parents, this class led by Jim Weems has "matured" into a broader discussion of the Christian life in an increasingly challenging environment. This fall, we begin a study of the foundations of the Christian faith, looking for a better understanding of them for ourselves and for those to whom we are called upon to witness.

Discussion Class: This is Covenant's longest running Sunday School class. Taught for many years by Auburn Lambeth, it will now be led by an experienced group of teachers including Auburn, Martha Blount, and Buddy Watson. This fall they will begin a study of the John Stott classic: The Message of the Sermon on the Mount, an examination of the most powerful single sermon in all of human history - personally delivered by our Lord Jesus.

Sojourner's Class: Another long running class, this one is led by Mike Wallace. A traditional "deep dive" Bible study class using verse-by-verse exposition, they will be studying the Apostle Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus which include encouragements and practical advice from the apostle to two of his most faithful pupils and colleagues in spreading the Gospel.

Women's Bible Studies: We currently have three women's Bible studies/discussion groups going strong!
Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit: Kathy Hays leads a weekly study that meets in Room 204 each Tuesday from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. They are beginning their study of the book Living Beyond Yourself: Exploring the Fruit of the Spirit by Beth Moore. Contact: Kathy Hays firstname.lastname@example.org
The Pursuit of Holiness: Led by Martha Hays, a monthly study meets on the 4th Tuesday of every month at 11:00 am in the Parlor. This year they will study The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, a practical guide to developing a better understanding of the nature of God and deeper Christian maturity. Contact: Martha Hays email@example.com
Mom's Minute: Holly Magee and Nicole Mills will lead a discussion class for preschool mothers, but open to all. They will meet from 8:45 am to 10:00 am every 1st and 3rd Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall. This fall they will study the wonderful book Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World, about finding intimacy with God based on the story of the two sisters from Bethany found in the Gospels of Luke and John. Contact: Holly Magee firstname.lastname@example.org / Nicole Mills email@example.com
Men's Prayer Group: Come join the men of Covenant every Tuesday morning from 7:00 am to 8:00 am. This discussion group and sometimes Bible study offers a great opportunity to build relationships.
